Technic Review

Thank you so much to Sally and everyone at Technic and Love thy Makeup sending me some products to trial and review on my blog and instagram. I received a range of products; face, eyes and lips and I was very excited to open the package after hearing such great reviews from fellow bloggers and having tried out a few products in the past.

Technic Prime It Illuminating Face Primer
So to start of, I would like to talk about the packaging; it definitely stands out in my makeup drawers compared to other primers I own. Also find the pump so handy as it gives you the exact amount you need in one pump. I find the product does slightly even out my complexion and does not completely cover my pores, however it definitely illuminates and brightens my face. When I apply my foundation afterwards, I can see a difference in my skin. I looks a lot healthier and certain high points of my face "glow" when the light hits it. I would recommend this primer for people with dry/normal skin, as I have combination skin and parts of my face get oily throughout the day.

Technic Smooth It Primer
I love the simple circular packaging of this product as it is easy to slip into your makeup bag and is different to all the other primers I own. The only downside is that sometimes the product can get stick under your nails as you need to put your fingers into the pot to use the product. The formula is so smooth, hence the name, and is a silicon consistency. It covers my pores so well and smooths out my complexion so much; it even prolongs the wear of my makeup which is handy for me as my nose gets oily throughout the day. I could even go as far as saying that this is my new favourite primer in my makeup collection, well done Technic!

Technic Beauty Boost Foundation
I tried out this foundation for the first time the past weekend and I think its great. it provides you with a light but buildable coverage, but with only a bit on concealer to hide the few imperfections still showing, I was good to go! Unfortunately, the lightest shade is still slightly too orange. I think the product could be slightly improved if there were more than two shades to suit everyone. I love the packaging, it is simple but effective and I love the rose gold lid and text. I think this is a standard foundation, there's nothing that really stands out about it but I would definitely recommend!

Technic Eyeshadow Palettes - Smokey&Nudes
I've been getting into my eye shadows recently and I'm really happy with these palettes. My favourite is Nudes as I find myself reaching for the colours more since I am personally not that into bold looks, my favourite shades are the first three. However, I think the Smokey colours are also gorgeous! These eye shadows last hours, I find my eyelids don't get too oily and the shadow lasts all day. There is also a range of palettes to choose from, check them out here.

Technic Lashitude Mascara
I can't stress enough how much I love this product! So the packaging of this mascara is so much like Benefit They're Real, and the wand is also very similar too. It has a plastic wand, and its so easy to reach the hard to get to lashes in your inner and outer corners. The mascara is so lengthening and slightly thickening too, its perfect for everyday wear and looks natural on the eyes.

Technic Light Up Lipgloss
The final product I received was a Light Up Lipgloss, in the shade Rouge I believe. The lipgloss is pretty standard, it is quite shear so is great for if you're not overly confident with lip colours like myself. It would also be the perfect gloss to go over a true red lipstick. One thing that really stood out to me was the texture, it doesn't feel sticky on my lips many other lipglosses I've tried. The formula is quite runny/liquidy which I'm personally not sure about but its down to personal preference. I love that the product comes with a light inside and a mirror on the outside, making it quick and easy

New Year, New Me

Hey guys!

So happy new year! I know its a bit late, but this is my first blog post of 2015. I hope you're all well and enjoying the new year so far.

I kind of got this idea from Girl Online, but I want to write about new years resolutions as I have made quite a few this year unlike past years.

1. To be more confident; in who I am, my appearance, and I want to be more social and speak to new people around me. I have been trying really hard to overcome my shyness recently and I want to keep that up, seeing as its so easy to socialise with my followers over instagram.

2. Flexibility! I know this probably doesn't interest most of you, but dance plays a big part in my life and I have definitely improved over the last year and become more confident in my performance. I have been stretching every night and practicing at home which I hope will help me improve even more.

3. Finally, I want to blog more. So I know I have been lacking in blogging recently as I have been focusing on my instagram so much and I was also busy with homework over the last term. I am going to try to post every few weeks about beauty, fashion, lifestyle and photography as I want to change things up a bit for you guys.

What are some of your new years resolutions, and what are you going to do to achieve them?

2014 was such an amazing year for me, starting this blog and of course my instagram, thank you all so much for all the support over the past 12 months.

I have some very exciting things coming up soon on this blog, including a review on some Technic beauty products that I was kindly sent, it will be up sometime in the next week.

Thank you so much for 3k on instagram everyone, I'm already at 3,100 wow! My instagram is @sophelizax , I follow back.

Thanks for reading, I love you all!

xoxo,
Sophie
